I'm the founding engineer and tech lead of Claude Code at Anthropic. It's the most meaningful work of my life, and I'm grateful to be doing it.
Our work isn't done. It's important that we're thoughtful and safe about how AI spreads through the world. I'm an optimist, but the risks are real.
Before Anthropic I was on the options team at Robinhood, then Rubrik, and a couple of startups before that. I love building things that meaningfully impact people — and, occasionally, things that don't. This entire site was built with Claude Code, including a pixel art career game tracing my path from UIUC to here, a multiplayer snake arena, a clicker game where you grind your way to AGI, and a few more for good measure.
Outside of work: Warriors basketball (mostly suffering), travel, golf, squash, producing music, writing poetry. Some of the writing ends up here.
